coffee and cola cleared of link with osteoporosis
There’s a good news for cappuccino and cola lovers. Contrary to previous reports, high caffeine consumption even as much as eight cups o coffee a day does not increase the risk of developing osteoporosis, according to a new study of 138 healthy women ages 55 to 70.

All the women had gone through menopause, and had never smoked or used HRT, which has been shown to help prevent bone loss, for long periods of time. The women reported a daily calcium intake of between 770mgm and 790mgm, about average for this age group.

More than 90 percent of the women caffeine came from coffee and tea.
