With today’s fast-paced lifestyles, people are finding it to impossible to lose body fat and gain muscle. In this brief article, I am going to invite you to do three new things in your life to help you shed off the pounds, promote a healthy body fat percentage, and increase mental health and wellness.
Finally Lose Body Fat and Gain Muscle in your Busy Lifestyle
Some people who read this will shy away from the three principles that I am about to share with you. They’ll more than likely shy away because there’s going to be some sacrifice involved. This leads me to my first principle.
Find Out what You’d Sacrifice:
Most of your life is dictated by your priorities. Now there are some priorities that you need to make sure you’re not throwing out because they’ll come back to bite you later. You probably know these responsibilities off of the top of your head. Family, work, spiritual growth, and so on. These are the core priorities in your life.
What you’re going to do is inject a new priority into your life, and other minor-priorities are going to need to be pushed away. In order to lose body fat and gain muscle, it takes a level of focus that requires you to shove other things into small sections of your time. Facebook, oversleeping, mindless entertainment (internet or other), and going out to eat every night; these are all going to have to be moved around and placed on a lower importance level.
Let’s say it takes one hour a day, six days a week, in order for you to lose body fat and gain muscle like you want. Find out what sucks an extra hour out of your day, and then dedicate to hitting the gym for that hour. This takes work, but you’re going to find that you’re more productive, healthier, and a lot more attractive. I’ll venture to say that you’ll even find more time to spend with your “core priorities” as smaller ones lose their luster.
Keep your Goal in your Pocket:
This is a profound, but useful way to keep your goal in mind. Take an index card, and write your goal on it. To lose body fat and gain muscle, you have to stay completely focused on what it is you want. Keep that card in your pocket at all times.
When friends, habits, or temptations want to get you off track, pull the index card out, read your goal, and visualize your life when you reach the goal you’ve written down. Imagine the intensity, the energy, the focus, and the accomplishment.
When you lose body fat and gain muscle, your brain works better, your body feels healthier, and you’ve got confidence because you’ve overcome something most people in today’s age can’t seem to get under control: their own bodies.
Train like an Animal:
Face it, you’re a busy person. You’ve sectioned off one full hour to lose body fat and lean up. One hour is not going to cut it if you simply stroll around the park every day. Some people go with the cliche “it’s better than nothing.” That doesn’t fly when you’re trying to get your body in great shape.
It takes focus. It takes sacrifice. It takes a plan. When you walk into the gym (home or club), you need to throw out everything, and be there in that very moment. Section it off, and don’t let anything infiltrate it.
Try a Tabata workout, a high-intensity cardio DVD, or some other workout that will demand it all from you in that one hour, and don’t give it to anything else. Take my word for it, your body will do the rest.
You’re now aware of three new things that you could do immediately to begin seeing great results, lose body fat and gain muscle starting right now.
What are you going to do? This is your decision point. You can either ignore the information, continue going toward a life of distractions and a growing waistline, or you can put some focused effort into your physical goals, and watch the results change your life.
In an effort to help you, I have put up a new blog called PhenomenallyFit.com that will help you lose body fat, gain muscle mass, and improve your physique.
